Dynamic Visualization

Dr. McKenna and team developed a Bayesian Belief Network (BBN) model for predicting the price of a baseball stadium seat based on secondary market behaviors. These model predictions formed the basis of a D3.js visualization featuring:

• Predicted secondary price multiples by section shown as color-coded stadium map
• Interactive and dynamic graphics
  • Mouse-overs spawn popup data for selected section
  • Drop-down selectors for opponent, day of the week, and month
  • Real-time slider displaying selected section price multiple
  • Dynamic overall multiple (all seats) displayed centrally
  • Predicted ticket prices, by row, for selected section shown as animated bar chart
